LC supports organisation of charity basketball game with Special Olympics athletes

To further extend our corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities, Living Concepts recently supported the organisation of a charity basketball game promoted by the Sacred Heart University (SHU) Luxembourg, starring students and alumni of the SHU Luxembourg MBA programme and Special Olympics athletes. For those of you who may not be that familiar with it, Special Olympics is the world’s largest sports organisation for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, providing year-round training and competitions to more than 4.5 million athletes in 170 countries.

The Charity Basketball Game organised by SHU students was contested on April 24 and took place at the premises of the Rehazenter in Kirchberg, Luxembourg City. All proceeds and donations from the game will help finance the Special Olympics Luxembourg team and their participation at the 2016 international basketball tournament!

To take a lesson from this great experience, let us share with you all the motto of Special Olympics: “Let me win, but if I cannot win, let me be brave in the attempt.” That is what sport and ultimately life are all about!
